Any time “we”, “the company”, “us”, or “our” is used, it is so to represent Ebetec Language Academy. Any time “you”, “your”, or “students”, are used, it is so to represent the users. We operate under the ebetec.us website, and any media forms or channels you may access will collectively be named “website”.

At our English school, we are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of our website visitors and users. This privacy policy outlines the type of information we collect and how we use, protect, and disclose that information. We operate online under the ebetec.us website, which provides our service. If you choose to use our services on this website you are agreeing to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Any Personal Information that may be collected will be used to improve our services. We will not share any information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. We are proud to have students from all over the world; however, we’d like to emphasize that our Website is hosted in the United States, and therefore, is subject to U.S. Florida State and Federal law. When accessing our Website from any other place, thus, from another jurisdiction, be advised that you are transferring all information to us in the U.S. and are consenting to this Privacy Policy and all applicable U.S. state and federal law.

Non-Personally-Identifying Information

This session is focused on information that we cannot, without additional information, directly associate with anyone. Depending on what the user’s settings have available, we may collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address, the operating system (OS), the browser used, and the website location leading to our page as well as what was the exit to it. We’d like to inform you that it is possible, from this information, to learn the user’s service provider and geographic location of the connection, alongside other statistical data. Said information is still not Personally-Identifying. Non-Personally-Identifying Information collected from our users can be analyzed in studies to understand patterns and trends of our usage. Data findings and reports maybe be published. This is done to improve our services as well as the user’s experience. In regards to Web cookies, they are used to track services the users have used, as well as to record any registration information, preferences, and in log-in cases, to keep the user logged in. Cookies may also be used to keep tabs on the pages visited during the user’s sessions, with the intent of improving user experience and to better understanding how the website is being used. Users that DO NOT WISH TO ALLOW WEB COOKIES may set their browser settings to refuse cookies before accessing the website. We do advise that if cookies are NOT enabled, our website and its features may not function properly, users are henceforth assuming the responsibility for any resulting loss of functionality.

Usage Analysis and Google Ads

We use Web Beacons on our page and emails we send that may be invisible to the user. These beacons allow us to check if a user was able to view a certain page or email. We may use it to count page visits, email or emailed attachment visualizations, and may have co-branded services. These beacons will NOT be used to access or collect any Personally-Identifying Information, they are simply a tool to track online usage, such as the date and time of a page visit or of an email visualization. Unlike Cookies, you may not decline a Web Beacon; however, by blocking all cookies they can lose their effect. We may use third-party vendors, Google included who use Non-Identifying-Information for usage and website activity studies, ad optimization and to better understand overall online activity on our site. There are options inside Google that can be installed in your browser in case you DO NOT want Google Analytics for Display Advertising or Display Network and can be set inside the user’s Google Ads Settings.

Personally-Identifying Information

This is information that can be directly associated with the user. Most of the Personally-Identifying information is collected by users providing them to us; this can be done by:

  • Registering/applying for one of our services
  • Signing up for Newsletters
  • Creating a Profile on our Website
  • Communicating with us inside or outside the website
  • logging in with social network credentials
  • participating in surveys, promotions, contests, or other featured advertisements


Since it is Personally-Identifying Information, this data may include the user’s name, email, address, and telephone number. Furthermore, should the user choose to divulge information to the website, in surveys for example, data such as gender, age, birthday, username, and hometown will be collected, as well as any other information deemed relevant for that time. If the user decides to make a business transaction with Ebetec, financial information will be requested and gathered, this may include, payment method, valid credit card number, expiration date, and card/account type, alongside any other data that might be relevant to that transaction. We might use this information, such as your name and email to send notifications, new services, and service-related announcements through the general operation of the service. Get in contact with us to opt out or restrict any kind of contact you may have with the company; although, We reserve the right to send you notices, announcements, and administrative messages deemed important or relevant even when contact was restricted by the user. Upon request, your account and contact information can be deactivated or deleted and will be so when practicable and when in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

Information Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We will disclose Personally-Identifying Information under the following circumstances: (1) Lawful enforcement and protection of rights: In cases we deem necessary, we may disclose information to help investigations, to prevent or take action regarding illegal activity, fraud, or anything that might bring any kind of harm to the safety of our company, our employees, our users or others. All abiding by applicable law or as a cooperation to law enforcement, or to the enforcement of company policies. In this regard, the company will abide to any legal demand, such as court orders, or any other request that was deemed necessary to support legal action, claims, or simply is required by law. For said cases, we may raise or waive legal objections or rights available to us. (2) Service Providers: We might share some contact information for our authorized third-party service providers that may perform specific services on our behalf. Said services could include customer service, sales, fulfilling of requests and orders, studies and analysis made through surveys, contests, and features. In cases of business transactions, contact and payment information will be provided to authorized service providers. Though they have access, they ARE NOT allowed to share or use any information, they can only access what is necessary to process the payment or to perform their functions. (3) Major Business changes: In cases of mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcy, sale of a part or even the whole company, or any related change to the company, the right to transfer all Personally-Identifying Information in our possession to a successor organization will be reserved. Any submission or gathering of information after a business transfer will be subject to the successor organization’s privacy policy.

Anyone who provides said information through our services expresses in some matter to be older than 13, if it is discovered that any information about children has been collected, we will take appropriate action and delete it. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a child, 13 years old or younger, that has become a member or shared any kind of information with us, please let us know through any means of contact (email and phone can be found below) to said registration or account terminated and information dutifully deleted.
